Cómo detectar posibles señales de colesterol alto antes de que afecte tu salud

El colesterol alto es “el enemigo silencioso” porque no causa dolor ni molestias al principio; va tapando tus arterias con grasa sin que te des cuenta.

Cuando ya hay daño avanzado en la circulación, aparecen estas alertas:
Presión o dolor en el pecho y falta de aire al moverte.
Fatiga constante y pesadez o calambres en las piernas al caminar.
Hormigueo o frío en manos y pies.
Bolitas amarillas de grasa en la piel o párpados.

El error clave: Pensar que estás bien porque no te duele nada. Hasta la gente delgada puede tenerlo alto. La única forma de saberlo es con un análisis de sangre.
En conclusión: No te esperes a sentirte mal. Hazte tus chequeos, muévete más y bájale a la comida chatarra.
