“El caso que más me marcó fue el de Octavio Ocaña… Benito. No por la presión mediática, sino por lo que representó. Era un joven que todos conocimos desde niños, lo vimos crecer en pantalla, y de pronto, tenerlo frente a mí, ya sin vida, fue algo que me estremeció profundamente. No fue una entrega rápida; hubo que esperar los procesos legales, los traslados, los tiempos forenses. Pero desde el primer momento supe que debía hacer mi trabajo con el mayor respeto posible, como si fuera alguien de mi propia familia.”
“Hice todo lo que estaba en mis manos para devolverle la paz al rostro. Lo vestimos con ropa sencilla, como suele pasar en estos casos, porque nadie tiene preparada la ropa de su último día. No había maquillajes especiales ni nada fuera de lo común, solo cuidado, atención, y silencio. Y aunque tal vez no fui la última persona que lo tocó —porque seguramente su familia lo abrazó por última vez— sí fui quien lo vio como realmente era, sin cámaras, sin personaje… solo él.”
“A veces me preguntan si estos casos me afectan, y la verdad es que sí. No somos de piedra. Pero justo por eso hago este trabajo con el corazón. Porque aunque no se vea, aunque no se hable, despedir con dignidad también es un acto de amor.”
