El caso de Archie Squire, un bebé de un año, ha causado conmoción en Reino Unido. Murió por una rara malformación cardíaca congénita que no fue detectada a tiempo, pese a que sus padres lo llevaron más de diez veces al hospital. En todas las ocasiones, los médicos atribuyeron sus síntomas a infecciones respiratorias comunes.

Días después de cumplir un año, Archie sufrió dos paros cardíacos fatales. La autopsia reveló que padecía inversión ventricular cardíaca aislada, una condición extremadamente poco común, con menos de 50 casos registrados en el mundo.

El informe forense señaló fallas médicas y oportunidades perdidas para diagnosticar la enfermedad, incluyendo estudios que no se realizaron a tiempo. Sus padres buscan justicia y esperan que su historia ayude a evitar errores similares en otros niños.
